Abstract: Poll shows American women are concerned about global issues
A recent poll of American women found, contrary to expectations, that a solid 72 percent think individuals can make a difference in addressing world problems.
The survey by A Women's Lens on Global Issues, a project of the Aspen Institute, found that a majority are concerned about the role of the U.S. in the world and hold more intense beliefs than men on the need for international cooperation.
Read a report on the poll, "Connecting Women in the U.S. and Global Issues."
