The conference, held in association with Ipas and Abortion Rights, will build consensus and momentum around international efforts to reduce the unacceptable toll on women’s health caused by unsafe abortion, by increasing access to safe service, recognising women’s right to self determination and encouraging legal reform. Marie Stopes International believes that with the active participation of stakeholders from across the sexual and reproductive health community, the Global Safe Abortion Conference will be a seminal event and a call to action, leading ultimately to real and lasting changes.
