Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee Hearing on Rape and Violence Against Women in Conflict Zones

Senators Boxer and Feingold To Co-Chair Hearing Focusing on Sudan and the Congo

WASHINGTON DC, May 13 – Today, U.S. Senators Barbara Boxer (D-CA) and Russ Feingold (D-WI) will preside over a joint senate foreign relations subcommittee hearing titled, “Confronting Rape and Other Forms of Violence Against Women in Conflict Zones.” The hearing will focus specifically on Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).


The hearing is part of the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on International Operations and Organizations, Human Rights, Democracy and Global Women’s Issues and the Subcommittee on African Affairs.
